This cowl is simply crocheted as a rectangle, twisted and seamed together.
150 to 170 yds chunky yarn of your choice
Size N/P hook (10 mm)
Gauge: 2” = 2 rows, 5 sts
CH 24.
1TR in 4th ch from hook. 1 TR in each ch to end.
CH3; Work all sts in BRTR to end.
CH3; Work all sts in FRTR to end.
Keep alternating BRTR and FRTR every row until piece measures 22”. Lay the piece flat and twist. Bring edges together, maintaining the twist in the middle and seam together with a Sl st.
FRTR- Front Raised Treble
BRTR- Back Raised Treble
FRTR and BRTR are worked around the post of the stitch rather than in the top of a stitch.
*Tip: I personally like to work in the back loop only when crocheting the first row from the foundation chain. I discovered that it makes working into the foundation chain and seaming a little easier.
